Waterbury Regional Chamber to Present 30th Annual Malcolm Baldrige Awards on March 11, 2026 WATERBURY—The Waterbury Regional Chamber will host its 30th Annual Malcolm Baldrige Chamber Awards Evening on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, honoring Eric and Jonathan Albert of Albert Bros, Inc, Cornerstone Realty, Inc., and CPC Hospitality, LLC; Sarah DiMeo-Carabetta of Acts 4 Ministry, Inc.; and Justin Golden of Golden Technology Services, Inc. for their exemplary leadership, impact on economic development, and community engagement. The Malcolm Baldrige Community Award—the Chamber’s highest honor—will be presented to Eric and Jonathan Albert of Albert Brothers, Inc.; Cornerstone Realty, Inc.; and CPC Hospitality, LLC. A fifth-generation, family-owned Waterbury business with more than 119 years of local history, the Albert family has made a lasting impact on the region through sustained investment, job creation, and redevelopment efforts. Their revitalization of properties such as the former Colonial Plaza and the Captain Nevill Drive complex has brought new manufacturing and retail businesses into Waterbury, created sustainable employment opportunities, and strengthened the city’s tax base. The Alberts are also widely recognized for their philanthropic leadership, supporting organizations including Waterbury PAL, United Way of Greater Waterbury, the Mattatuck Museum, Greater Waterbury YMCA, Saint Mary’s Hospital and Foundation, and many others. DiMeo-Carabetta, Executive Director of Acts 4 Ministry, Inc., a non-denominational charitable organization based on Thomaston Avenue that supports families and individuals facing financial hardship, will receive the Chamber Leadership Award. A longstanding and active member of the Chamber, DiMeo-Carabetta has served on numerous committees, most notably as Chairwoman of the Steering Committee for the Chamber’s Leadership Greater Waterbury professional development program. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Waterbury Regional Chamber and is a member of its Public Policy Committee. Golden, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Golden Technology Services, Inc., will receive the Chamber Volunteer Award in recognition of his extensive volunteer service to the Waterbury Regional Chamber during his 13 years of membership. A dedicated Chamber Ambassador and consistent supporter of Chamber fundraising initiatives, he is a member of the Chamber’s Membership Committee and Public Policy Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for the Watertown Oakville Chamber, an affiliate of the Waterbury Regional Chamber. Beyond the Chamber, Golden has held numerous leadership and service for many nonprofit and civic boards across the region. The awards are presented in honor of Malcolm “Mac” Baldrige, a former U.S. Secretary of Commerce, former President and CEO of Scovill Manufacturing, and past Chairman of the Waterbury Regional Chamber.
